Camp Description

Students will be introduced to various mixed media and assemblage techniques as we transform old board books into creative works of art that encompass a theme and utilize a variety of materials. Altered books bring together the use of mixed media and papercrafting techniques including collage, journaling, rubber stamping, embellishing and scrapbooking. Students will learn how reusing, reducing and recycling to create artworks can save resources and offer unique aesthetic possibilities. We will learn the basics of paper engineering like how to make pop-ups and parallel folds. The creative possibilities are endless – go where your imagination takes you!
